A Somogy Megyei Kézilabda Szövetség több évtizedes hagyományt felélesztve immár
tizedik alkalommal rendezi meg a
„Nemzetközi Serdülő Balaton Kupát”.
A szervezők a rendezvény iránti hosszú távú elkötelezettségüket bizonyítva 2004-ben megalakították a „Balaton Kézilabda Sportegyesületet”, melynek fő célkitűzése a kézilabda sportág népszerűsítése, külön kiemelten a nyári „Balaton Kupa” megszervezése és lebonyolítása.
A verseny helyszínén természetesen a sportolás mellett a pihenés minden feltétele biztosított, ezért hívunk mindenkit a „magyar tenger” déli partjára a Fonyódligeti Gyermektáborban.
Mindezekhez a kellemes környezetet és a kifogástalan ellátást, vendégszeretetünket ajánljuk.

Dear Sport Fans,
The Somogy County Handball Federation has been working on the organization of 'Balaton kupa' (‘Balaton Cup’) for nine years. The history of 'Balaton kupa' goes back many several decades. The aim of the federation is to revive this tradition, to provide adolescent children with the possibilities of competing and to help them with the preparation for the season. We would like to combine sport with active recreation. Therefore we invite everybody to Fonyód and Fonyódliget Children's Camp Both places are situated on the southern coast of the beautiful Hungarian Sea, Balaton. During your stay we offer pleasant, comfortable full-board accomodation. Let us now introduce these places briefly.This beautiful 1300-metre long coast is situatedbetween Fonyód and Balatonboglár. The setting up of the camp was started in 1976 when the present site of the camp was banked up. The camp was opened on 21st July 1980. Ten thousands of Hungarian and foreign children have spent their holiday here since then. The camp is still being developed. 1800 people have an opportunity to relax at the same time and to enjoy the cosy board and lodging. The camp is separated well so it can guarantee undisturbed rest. The use of all the facilities in the campsite is free. Its sport establishments (football grounds, handball, basketball and volleyball courts, athletic fields etc.) make the sports facilities varied. The camp has its own beach where bathing is free for anyone. The neighbouring cities such as Fonyód and Balatonboglár offer lots of cultural possibilities and places of interest. If you want to visit places further afield we recommend to you the Badacsony Hill with its unique scenery on the opposite coast of Lake Balaton. During the period of the tournament there will be cultural programmes such as Boglár Vintage Festival at Lake Balaton. Those who like hiking can take a trip to Badacsony by a boat. Besides hiking tourists not only have an opportunity to get to know the different sorts of Badacsony wines but they can taste them as well. So we invite and expect everybody to come to Fonyód and Fonyódliget. We would like to create friendships and make others love and become acquainted with the wonderful surroungings here. The programmes offered by us will guarantee rest and satisfaction of your cultural expectations.
